The Unusual Diary
After my father's diagnosis, since I did not have to work regularly in Hong Kong, I accompanied him for his physical examination and treatment.
Father had to go to the hospital for examination or treatment about twice a week, and during the waiting period, I would always take a small picture book to practice sketching; Drawing dads, other patients, and even their companions and medical care became my sketches.
Because I hold the picture book, occasionally other patients and family members will take the initiative to talk to me, take the initiative to talk about their illness, and encourage each other. In my eyes, they are optimistic and courageous in the face of illness and treatment. Gradually, under my sketches, the hospital, which usually feels cold, began to have people, things, and things that warm people's hearts. The black and white brushstrokes also have a colorful texture.
