This book is not a reference book to deconstruct Chinese fonts or font structure from the perspective of professional font design, nor a special book on Chinese font design theory, to teach people how to design Chinese fonts; Rather, it is based on humanistic care and the Hong Kong standard, in order to understand the relationship between the craftsmanship aesthetics of local lettermakers and the transformation of society. Writer hopes to understand and record the city and local aesthetics we live in from multiple perspectives, and through visiting and listening to the growth background of each wordmaker, we can bring out the relationship between the crafts or techniques of the wordsmiths and their daily life from their personal experiences. After reading this book, hoping you can re-observe our city.
